Leo Meloni
By bike towards the Celestial Empire, 12.000 km, 11 countries, off we go ⩥ China for Léo Meloni, the one who pedals and writes.
🚲 The Guild offers you the journey in this writer's wheel, like a sporting and literary experience on the way to the Formosa Strait, with a view of the South China Sea.
🚲 For four months, 10 hours a day, since the beginning of September 2023, Léo has been at the helm. He takes the subsistence minimum and also a few books, i.e. a 50kg bike that left the Côte d'Azur and was promised to Fukien.
🚲 Depending on the mood, the sweat and the connections, the guarantee of a story 'in the saddle' by an author who, in every sense of the word, will surely go far. Also follow on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Blanche Daillet
Intensive care physiotherapist, former international solidarity volunteer in Lebanon, the youngest member of La Guilde's board of directors is on mission in the north-east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The old fishing village Song has become Goma, the 'capital' of North Kivu languishing on the edge of the lake, a high-altitude haven for a few million Gomatracians and as many war-displaced people.
Clear and distanced, his photographed “Instants” shake up our imagination; they chronicle the moments of a life, theirs, his, and from these intersections Blanche Daillet creates the occasion for an image, the birth of an emotion.
