Paralyzed for several years by an unprecedented economic and social crisis, the situation in Lebanon tragically worsened with the explosion at the port of Beirut in August 2020.
Through micro-projects carried out by local associations, our commitment and support is more present than ever, with as a catalyst the unwavering friendship that links La Guilde to the Land of the Cedars.
Hadkoun: food aid alongside the Lebanese
While the Lebanese population faces a multi-sector crisis, The Guild creates in 2023. the Lebanese Platformfood and nutritional assistance (PLAAN). Faced with the emergency, our Guild team based in Beirut identified nine relay associations to meet the subsistence needs of the most vulnerable. We strengthen the local response food assistance needs (daily hot meals, monthly food aid boxes, vouchers and cash assistance), including a strategy nutrition which places particular importance on pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under two years of age.
