Press release - Special appeal “Armenia 2024”

For the integration and insertion of displaced people from Artsakh in Armenia

The Guild, through its Microprojects division, is launching, with the support of the French Development Agency, a call for development microprojects, specific for Armenia following the arrival of more than 100 displaced people from Artsakh in Armenia..

Thanks to the mobilization of the government and the outpouring of solidarity from Armenian civil society, the displaced people of Nagorno-Karabakh were able to benefit from shelter and emergency food aid. It is now appropriate to give these populations the opportunity to remain on Armenian territory and to provide development aid aimed at the integration and insertion of displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh as well as support for the Armenian population.

Small French (less than €200 in annual resources) and Armenian (less than €000) associations with more than 500 years of existence are eligible for this call for projects.

These structures can request financial support of between 3 000 and 12 500 euros.

For actions related to the integration and insertion of displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh in Armenia:

  • support for welcoming displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh,
  • relaunch and development of income-generating activities,
  • training for professional integration,
  • Strengthening the capacities of organizations (training, welcoming volunteers (Civic Service and International Solidarity Volunteering),
  • promotion of agriculture, food production and support for small farmers

The procedures for requesting financing, disbursing funds and reporting are simplified and dematerialized on the site: Solidarity portal.

Associations will be able to benefit from the support of a reference person based in Armenia to assist them in submitting an application, as well as the expertise of the Microproject team. The files will be examined by the Microprojects department of La Guilde as well as by external experts. The decision will be made quickly after the closing date of the call for projects set for February 28.

This call for projects also aims to strengthen links between French and Armenian organizations, which are invited to develop partnerships on this occasion.

This initiative receives support from the French Development Agency for an amount of €100. The Guild will present certain micro-projects to other partners (funds and foundations) to expand financial support.

The call for projects will be open on Call for Special Projects Armenia the 8 January 2024.
